Our Staff:
School Director - Natesha Cobb, MBA: Ms. Tesha has been involved in Early Childhood education for many years and has experience as a teacher in the classroom, in curriculum coordinating and as a facility administrator. Ms. Tesha earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, with an emphasis on Child Psychology. She later continued her education and achieved her Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Leadership. After pursuing studies in Marriage and Family Counseling, she discovered that her true passion was working with children in an environment that allowed for growth, independence and nurturing. She made a smooth transition into the classroom applying encouragement and the knowledge that achievement comes to each child differently, independent of the children around them, and opening the door to a child’s success can be as easy as opening your arms for a hug. She continues her academic pursuit toward her Doctorate, while maintaining the precarious balance between marriage, family, higher education and career. Ms. Tesha has been recognized on multiple occasions for her excellence and commitment as Teacher of the Month, Curriculum Coordinator of the Year, and has also received numerous accolades from her peers. Her classroom was often used as a model where other teachers visited and learned from the expertise with which she managed her classroom and the proficient interaction she had with the children and parents.
Executive Assistant - Shelia Wood: Shelia joined the CBMS parent company, MEEI, in 2004 as the Executive Assistant to company co-owner Mrs. Barbara Moffitt. After a short period of time off, she was delighted to accept an invitation to join the CBMS Staff in December 2009 as the Executive Assistant.
Owner - Barbara Moffitt: Mrs. Moffitt has dedicated over 40 years in the Montessori field after having spent 5 years teaching in the public school system. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri and completed her certification in Language Learning Disabilities at West Texas University. While doing her post-graduate work, she earned her Montessori Early Childhood Certification in 1970 and attended 6-9 year old Elementary Training in Connecticut and California.
She and her husband own and operate two other private Montessori schools. Mrs. Moffitt was the founder of Atlanta Montessori Teacher Education, AMTE, and offered Montessori teacher training for 30 years.
